Enchanted Rock is by far one of my favorite places in Texas to shoot. If you are lucky enough to make it in before they hit capacity, you can easily roam around there for hours! I suggested Enchanted Rock to Brittany and Charles for their engagement shoot and they were immediately on board with the idea. I’ve known Brittany for about ten years now and this was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting her awesome fiance, Charles. I don’t think I’ve ever known a couple so perfect for each other. We woke up bright and early and made the 2-hour drive to Enchanted Rock for their wonderful, love-filled and SUPER windy engagement session.
After we arrived, we started our hike up the large rock and I took photos of their adorable love the whole way up! The wind was pretty wild that day, but that didn’t stop them from being super cuddly and in love. There were some beautiful rock formations with awesome colors and sun rays peeking through the clouds – seriously couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop for this shoot. I could go on and on about how wonderful these two were to work with, but I’ll spare you the mushy details. As we worked our way back down to the bottom of Enchanted Rock, we found some awesome little nooks with rocks and branches – so many cool spots here! There is even a small cave at the TOP of the rock that you can wander through if you can handle all of the Daddy Long-Leg spiders!
After wrapping up Brittany and Charles’ session, we made our way to The Domain in Austin, TX for some delicious ramen at Jinya. Nothing better than a full day of capturing your good friend’s love and eating the best ramen there is!
Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session at Enchanted Rock in Fredricksburg, TX.
